Olympics, games and boats

Jaq had me watching Gymnastics and synchronised swimming pairs. I have not watched to much of the Olympics but must say how much I enjoyed watching these two sports with Jaq. Can table tennis be classed as a sport?

I see Water Chariots are now charging £20 ($30) for a boat trip to the Olympics. The original price was £95($145) which then came down to £45.  BW gave the company a 15 year licence to operate canal boats in the area. Some of the boats will be available after the games for self hire following a re-fit. Some will be available for charter and all will operate from a canal boat hire base in Limehouse.
Looking at the picture below I think the re-fit to a hire boat will be expensive but i guess with Water Chariots track record a typical weeks hire would probably be £3000.00 plus diesel of course.

Sally my lovely
They will put windows in and heating. These are just meant to be standing room only. Prices they want you would think a seat might be nice.
See you soon.

Hi Bryce
How are things in Canada.
I just took a screen cut and it grabbed the top 15. Just checked and Canada are 35th.

Well Canada seems to be way down the list, again.
Some countries are just better and have more populations as well. As to the weather, we are having rain! Strange stuff, as most of the southern part of the province of Ontario (ie Garnet) has been in a severed drought resulting in corn in the fields not growing much more than three feet in height when normal is closer to six feet with cobs of corn. And of course all other prooduce is equally lousy.
Am hoping for later crops to be better before real winter sets in. Have not
communicated with Garnet in a week or more...

Cheers

I am not surprised they brought their prices down. About time too. I might just go on one with the grand naughties now. I don't think they got a lot of takers at the £45 price, especially as ticket holders were given free one day travel cards. Love to you both.

Hi Carol
if a ticket holder has a travel card then I can`t see many people using the boat as they would be paying and wasting the card. The boat fare would have to be mega cheap. They blundered to put it politely.
